AREA’S: CITYPLACE, TRINITY BELLWOOD, FORTYORK, KING - QUEEN ST W, ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT 

We are reviewing applicants for this position who live in the downtown Toronto core only.

 

This position involves full independent dog walking and boarding is optional, ideal as a second-day side hustle. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with dogs and want to earn some extra income.

Daily 3+ hour shifts a day—occasional weekends & holidays.

 

 

Position: Dog Caregiver

 

Our company is seeking a responsible and committed candidate who is passionate about working with dogs as a career. As a Dog Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in building new long-term relationships with both our canine and human clients. We are dedicated to providing excellent service and care to ensure the well-being of all the furry and non-furry members of our community.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Dog Care and Supervision: You will be responsible for the day-to-day care and supervision of the dogs entrusted to our services. This includes ensuring their safety and providing regular exercise

• Solo Pack Leadership: Guiding and managing the dogs during outings. Your ability to create a positive and controlled environment, demonstrated professionalism and pay attention to details.

 

• Building Client Relationships: Developing strong relationships with both the dog owners and the dogs themselves. You will need to communicate effectively and provide updates.

• Safety and Security: Upholding the highest standards of safety is a top priority. You will be responsible to ensure the well-being of the dogs and the environment under your care.

 

Requirements:

 

• Passion for Dogs: A genuine love and enthusiasm for working with dogs.

 

• Availability: open schedule, (MON to SAT, 10 am - 3 pm) 

 

• Able to board dogs overnight, & live in a safe pet-friendly environment  (optional).

 

• Responsible and Committed: We are looking for individuals who are trustworthy, reliable, punctual, and team players able to work independently, with strong time managerial skills. 

 

• Training and Experience: Minimum 3yrs prior experience working with dogs or related animal care is preferred. We provide comprehensive training.

 

• Physical Fitness: This position involves a minimum of 5+km walk per day playing, and handling dogs of various sizes and breeds. You will work outside in all types of weather.

 

• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both with clients and team members. Smartphones are needed.

 

• Clean criminal abstract, verified by a background check.
